Raider Rules Empty
PostSubject: Raider Rules   Raider Rules EmptySat Sep 25, 2010 11:14 am

As a guild we do raid a variety of instances and always try to have fun. We believe in a fair distribution of loot so if you are just after epics without contributing to the guild, then we are not the guild for you.

Any member who misses’s 2 or more raids without notice or been off-line for more than 2weeks without prior notice will be removed from their group and assigned to the stand-by group. Any special circumstances will be noted in the officer notes. If your real life is so busy that you cant give us 3 hours of your time that is scheduled for raiding each then maybe you should try and find something else to do.

Minimum Mods required to raid:(Failure to have DBM or ventrilo is grounds to remove you from a core group until you have the required add-ons)

1. Deadly Boss Mod.( give ingame warnings when bad things are about to happen)
2. Skada or Recount.
3. Ventrilo

Mains
1. Raiders should declare a main for raiding purposes (typically the character you wish to raid on and the one that gets the invite we may also require you to raid a certain toon if available to balance the group) and the one that will be considered a CORE Raider, what is a core raider? a core raider is expected to play to a higher standard than most of the guild that consider themselves raiders, core raiders although it is not written in stone are required to be one time to all raids unless otherwise directed by the raid lead or myself obviously real life trumps raid.

2. If at any time you wish to change your raiding main you will need to alert your raid leader to see if it fits your current groups make-up if you change may also require a group change so be careful when asking for a main change you might find yourself on the standby list just a warning. example if you are a tank and want to swap to a DPS and no other DPS has a viable tank set you may be sitting while your Raid leader finds another tank.

3. We generally do not take alts on raids however, Alts must have appropriate gear for the instance and will not be invited over a main. Exceptions may be made in the event a particular class is needed as determined by the raid leadership.

Raiding

1. Even though we are not a hardcore guild, don't be lulled into thinking that we don't take raiding seriously. Because we've made the choice of raiding approximately 2-3 days a week, we intend to make the most of the time. That means bring your game face and be ready to play for those 3 hours we own you you made the choice to raid you need to abide by the time requirements and be mindfull of your team they set aside the time to raid be fair to them.

2. If you have a rank of Core Raider we expect you'll be at every scheduled raid unless you tell us otherwise. Please use the Raid Calendar and forum to let us know if you won't be able to attend a raid.

3. Listen to the raid leader at all times and follow instructions. Friendly chatter is fine between pulls but please keep it to a minimum when we're trying to give instructions. You shall always listen and obey the Raid Leaders instructions. During the Raid, he is GOD. Persistent failure to do this may lead to members being removed from the raid as 1 person should not spoil it for others. If you have a comment to make then please whisper an officer or the Raid Leader. AFk's right before a pull is not exceptable, if you need to pee doing it quickly during a trash pull but dont take all night.

4. Raid invites will be determined by sign ups, guild rank (Raider, Raider App, Members, Friends) and class balance. Invites will start 15-20 minutes prior to the posted start time and we will not hold spots for people not on-line 10 minutes prior to starting unless there is a specific need that cannot be filled by someone else already on-line. If there are not enough of those Core Raiders to fill a raid, we'll ask if those of Member rank in the guild are interested in joining us if it doesn't upset the class balance.

5. You are expected to be repaired, stocked (reagents, consumables, don't expect we'll always have a mage) and in the raid zone 10 minutes prior to the posted start time. If you are not ready you may forfeit your spot to someone who is.(Unless you have made prior arrangements with the raid lead to be late) food and flask are provided.

6. Members should not attend raids on their mains with other guilds for zones we currently schedule raids for even if you think you won't be available on the scheduled raid day. We do not take kindly to finding we need one more person and the only other person on-line is already locked to the instance or is in a raid on an alt and unavailable for our raids when needed. (check with an officer for the current raid schedule)

7. Sometimes we may need to call a raid if we can't fill a raid for whatever reason. We'll wait for a period of no more than 30 minutes past the scheduled start of the raid to make a decision so we don't waste people's time. If someone DC's or has an emergency we will give them a reasonable amount of time before we replace them or call the raid lead "BY NO MEANS" will an individual decide that the raid is over and leave, that is a big no no and you will be removed from a progression group for such actions, that is left to the raid lead or his designated representative

Friends in Raids

We may occasionally have room for friends who are not members of the guild to fill spots in our raids. A few guidelines to avoid possible conflicts.

Most important is never ever take a pug when there is someone in guild that can fill the spot. 2 things.

1. They should be adequately geared and a competent enough player for the content.

2. Before a friend is invited to the raid type the name in raid chat for everyone to see. If someone has a problem with it they can whisper the raid leader and that person will not be invited.

3. Loot rules will be announced by the raid lead before first pull, but be considerate. If it's an upgrade and you'd just be using it for a side grade or a piece to mess around with pass to them.

The rules are inclusive and everyone is expected to follow then we have been farting around way to long and its time to get our game on........
