| Guild Achievements Achieves and Guild XP XP earned from guild achievements does not respect the daily cap. In other words, you will still get the xp even if you are capped. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26850247758&sid=2000&pageNo=1#2)
deprecated: Q: If a guild gets an achievement early in the day (before they reach the cap), will that achievement XP count toward the normal daily cap (and thus "take away" from other potentially earned XP sources)? A: Yes, any xp you earn will count towards the cap, no matter what the source. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26850247758&sid=2000&pageNo=1#4)
We vary the amount of experience rewarded based on the difficulty of the achievement. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26850268836&pageNo=1&sid=2000#1)

Guild Rep and Achievements As far as rep gain goes, you need to remember that rep gain is based on your guild xp contribution. As you can see from my notes above, you currently only have one way to contribute, quests. Once our next build goes live and you can earn guild XP from boss kills, this rate should increase. You can expect a similar increase from rated BGs. Before you ask, guild achievements do not grant guild rep since they are earned by the entire guild. Retroactive Achievements All reputations are retroactive. If you have the rep now, it will count in the guild achievement. Also note that the reputations have to be separate. Having Argent Dawn at exalted on 8 members still only counts as one towards the achievement.
Also, don't forget that this achievement requires revered guild faction for any of your reputations to count. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26850249999&sid=2000)
Realm Firsts Realm first raid boss kills are available as guild Feat of Strength achievements. These are shared between 10 and 25 man raids -- whichever group kills a boss first gets the realm first achieve. They do not reward new titles or other perks, though presumably they do reward XP. More details are available in this beta thread: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26859118096&pageNo=1&sid=2000#4 Guild Faction/ Reputation Earning Guild Faction/Reputation Any quest that rewards experience to you will also reward guild experience. The amount of guild reputation earned is based on the amount of guild experience rewarded. Note that daily quests will also reward guild experience.
All guild reputation is gained as a factor of guild experience. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26435286221&postId=264327493173&sid=2000#17)
A percentage of the experience you contribute is also rewarded as rep, so at low levels it's a fraction of 1 rep -- meaning you won't see any visible rep gains until it fills up to one point. Each quest rewards rep, it's just not visible until it adds up to at least one complete point. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26435397268&postId=264329605781&sid=2000#7)
Q: I honestly don't know if this is how it already works, but it might be nice for guild rep from dungeons to be multiplied by the number of guild mates in the dungeon with you on a boss kill. This would greatly encourage people to queue with guildies, something that seems a little diminished since the dungeon finder was implemented. A: This is exactly how it works. We give a bonus based on the number of players present. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=26435286221&sid=2000&pageNo=3)
There is a weekly cap on the guild reputation earned by an individual character, though I can't find a blue post explicitly stating this or explaining how high it is. | |
